Turn a Contract Template into a Playbook

Many teams don’t have a written review playbook, but they do have their standard template: the contract they always start from. You can now upload that template and have Pactly build a draft playbook from it, instead of only being able to import documents that were already written as playbooks.

Turn a Contract Template into a Playbook

Pactly detects automatically whether your upload is a playbook or a contract template, and you can correct it if the guess is wrong. For a template, it asks two quick questions first: which side of the contract you’re usually on (buyer, supplier, or either) and how firm your risk posture is. It then extracts each clause’s actual wording as your preferred position, saves that language to your clause bank, and suggests the parts a template can’t tell it: acceptable alternative fallbacks, which deviations should require approval, and a short rationale per position.

Everything the AI inferred is clearly badged as “AI-suggested” in the draft editor, separate from the language taken directly from your template, so you know exactly what to confirm before publishing. Like all imports, the result is a draft; nothing goes live until you review and publish it.
