See which contracts renew next, and when notice is due
Pactly reads the end date and notice period from each signed contract, works out the last day to give notice, and emails the contract owner before it.
A reminder a month before renewal comes too late
When a contract needs 90 days notice, the last day to act is three months before it renews. Pactly reminds the owner before that day.

Renews unless someone gives notice
- Cloud CRM subscription. Renews 30 March 2027, minus 90 days notice, gives notice due 30 December 2026. Reminders on 31 Oct 2026 and 30 Nov 2026, to Contract owner, Requester, Workspace admin.
- Warehouse lease, Tuas. Expires 10 September 2027, minus 180 days notice, gives decision due 14 March 2027. Reminders on 14 Dec 2026 and 12 Feb 2027, to Contract owner, facilities@yourco.com.
- Office cleaning services. Expires 19 January 2027 with no notice period, so reminders count back from the expiry date. Reminders on 20 Nov 2026 and 20 Dec 2026, to Contract owner, Requester, Workspace admin.
- Data migration statement of work. The document gives no end date, because the term follows the master services agreement. The contract is flagged Needs review and gets no reminders until someone confirms an end date.
When an amendment moves the end date
File the signed amendment and Pactly finds the contract it changes and suggests the new date. Once someone confirms it, the reminders count back from the new date.
- Nothing changes on its own
- The original keeps its date until someone confirms the suggestion.
- A record on both contracts
- Each one shows who confirmed it, the old and new date, and the clause.
- Labelled, with an undo
- The date on the original is marked Amended, and the change can be undone.
Who gets reminded, and how early
Out of the box, the contract owner, the requester and a workspace admin get an email 60 and 30 days before the deadline. An admin can set other days and people for each kind of contract.
How early
Any mix of 120, 90, 60, 30, 14 and 7 days before the deadline, or a number of your own.
Who
Roles reach whoever holds them on the day, so a new owner still gets the reminder. Add any email address too, such as a shared mailbox.
Which contracts
A category, an owner, a party or any property, such as a value above a limit. The default rule covers the rest.
The email
It names the contract, the date it renews or expires, and the deadline.
Also in renewal tracking
Reminders for one contract
Give a single contract its own days and people. Reset it to follow the rules again at any time.
Contracts you signed years ago
Import them in bulk. Each one is read for its dates and watched for renewal, and expired ones can go straight to the archive.
Dates you can check
Dates read from a document are marked AI extracted. Correct one on the contract and its reminders move with it.
No end date by design
Contracts that run until someone ends them, or where only confidentiality survives, are recognised and get no renewal reminders.
Questions about renewal tracking
What is the difference between Notice due and Decision due?
Notice due is the last day to tell the other side you will not renew, for a contract that renews on its own. Decision due is the last day to take up an option to renew, such as on a lease. A contract with no notice terms simply expires, and its reminders count back from the expiry date.
What if a contract does not state an end date?
Pactly flags it Needs review and schedules no reminders until someone confirms an end date. The Needs review option in the Expiring soon filter lists every contract in that state.
Who gets the reminders, and how?
By default the contract owner, the requester and a workspace admin, by email, 60 and 30 days before the deadline. An admin can change the days and the people for each kind of contract, and the Renewal & expiry tab on each contract shows the reminders still to come and who each one goes to.
Do the people we remind need a Pactly account?
No. Add any email address to a rule or to a single contract, such as a shared mailbox or a colleague in finance.
What happens when the contract owner leaves?
Reminders go to roles, not to named people. Reassign the contract to its new owner and the next reminder goes to them.
How accurate are the dates?
The dates are read from the document by AI and marked AI extracted. Check them on the contract and correct any that are wrong. The reminders always follow the current dates.
Can we bring in contracts we signed years ago?
Yes. Import them in bulk as executed contracts. Each one is read for its dates and watched for renewal, and expired ones can go straight to the archive.
Which plans include renewal tracking?
Every plan, from Essentials up, and the 30 day free trial. See Pricing for the plans.
