Turn a folder of contracts into a spreadsheet.

Write each question once. Pactly reads every document and puts each answer in its own cell, linked to the page it came from.

Free for 14 days. No credit card needed.

You have 40 documents and a list of questions

Most people copy the answers into a spreadsheet by hand or paste the files into an AI chat. Both stall long before document 40.

By hand

Open every file and copy each answer across. Slow, and nothing records where an answer came from.

In an AI chat

Fine for a handful of files. Past that it runs out of room, and a better question means asking all over again.

In a Pactly project

Every document answered the same way, in one table. Change a question and run it again.

Each team asks its own questions of the same contracts

Pick a team to see the columns it would set up on the same supplier agreements.

Check every contract against your policy and score the result.

The same works on leases, loan agreements, insurance policies, employment contracts, grant agreements and public records.

Check every answer against its source passage

Open any answer in the table and this is what you see.

  1. The answer

In the format the column asks for, ready to sort and filter.

  2. The reasoning

Why that answer was given, in a sentence or two.

  3. The passage

The words it rests on, quoted from the document.

  4. The page

Open the document at that spot to read the clause in context.

If an answer is wrong, correct it or sharpen the question and run that column again.

Also in every project

  • Eight kinds of column

Text, numbers, dates and yes or no for facts. Lists, checklists, computed ratings and comparison to your template for judgements.

  • Scanned PDFs

Pages without a text layer are read with OCR.

  • Amendments and schedules

Attach them to a row and they are read with the main contract. They do not count toward your documents.

  • Corrections that stick

Edit an answer and mark it verified. A later run keeps your version, and only the questions you changed run again.

  • Excel and PDF export

Excel carries the reasoning and source. The PDF keeps the colour labels.

  • Shared and reusable

Choose who sees each project, and duplicate it to reuse the columns on the next set.

Questions about Projects

What counts as a document?

A document is a contract held in a project. It is counted once, even when it sits in several projects. Supporting documents attached to a row, such as an amendment or a schedule, do not count.

What counts as a run?

A run is one contract read for all of its columns at once. Running a project of 40 contracts again uses 40 runs, whether one column changed or ten. Correcting or verifying an answer yourself uses no runs.

What happens when I reach my monthly runs?

Extraction pauses and we ask whether you want to add a block of 100 runs for USD 25. Nothing is charged until you say yes. Monthly runs reset at the start of each billing month.

How do annual plans work?

A year costs ten times the monthly price, so two months are free. The whole year of runs is available from day one, which suits a large first build. The document allowance is the same as on the monthly plan.

Who counts as a user?

Anyone who signs in to Pactly to build or review projects. Projects 50 includes one user. Projects 250 includes three and Projects 1,000 includes ten, with extra users at USD 49 a month.

How does the free trial work?

The trial lasts 14 days and includes 25 documents and 250 runs. No credit card is needed. When you subscribe, the projects you built in the trial stay in your workspace.

I already have a Pactly Growth or Ultimate plan. Do I need this?

No. Growth and Ultimate include Projects under fair use. These plans are for using Projects without the rest of Pactly.

How accurate are the answers?

An extraction can miss context or misread a clause. Read the source passage and reasoning before relying on an answer. You can correct values yourself, mark them as verified, or refine a question and run the project again. The source passage is shown whenever the extraction finds supporting language.

How is Projects different from contract review?

Contract review in Pactly, with Playbooks and Smart Templates, goes deep on one contract during a negotiation. Projects goes wide across many documents at once and compares the same data points. Pactly Growth and Ultimate plans include both.

Is this the same as tabular review in other tools?

Yes. Tabular review means extracting the same fields from several documents into a table. In Pactly this happens in Projects, with source checking, verification and export built in.

How is my data handled?

Pactly is ISO 27001 certified. Our Trust page describes where data is stored, who can see it and how it is protected.
