Date and number columns used to show whatever the extraction produced, and the only way to influence that was to describe the format you wanted inside the question itself, which was neither obvious nor reliable. Date and number columns now have a format picker in the column editor.
Dates can display as 15 Jan 2024, 15 January 2024, Jan 15, 2024, January 15, 2024, 15/01/2024, 01/15/2024, or ISO 2024-01-15. Numbers can be plain, use a thousands separator, show two decimal places, or render as a percentage. Choose Other if you would rather control the format from the question, and the extracted value is shown exactly as it came out.
Formatting is applied at display time, so changing it is instant and costs nothing: no re-extraction, no re-analysis of the column. Exports to CSV and Excel follow the same setting.
