Electronic Signature Disclosure
This Electronic Signature Disclosure (“Disclosure”) applies to your use of electronic signatures through Pactly’s electronic signing service (“Pactly e-Sign”). By using Pactly e-Sign to sign a document electronically, you are agreeing to the terms of this Disclosure.
1. Consent to Use Electronic Signatures
By clicking “Complete Signing” or any similar action button when presented with a document for electronic signature, you consent to:
- Sign the document electronically rather than with a handwritten signature
- Receive notices, disclosures, and documents related to the signing process electronically
- Conduct the transaction electronically
Your consent applies to this specific transaction only and does not obligate you to use electronic signatures for any future transactions.
2. Right to Receive Paper Copies
You have the right to receive a paper copy of any document that is provided to you electronically. To request a paper copy, contact the sender of the document directly. The sender’s contact information is typically included in the signing request email you received.
You may also download and print the document at any time during or after the signing process.
3. Right to Withdraw Consent
You may withdraw your consent to sign electronically at any time before clicking “Complete Signing” by clicking “Decline to Sign” on the signing page. The sender will be notified that you have declined.
Once you have clicked “Complete Signing”, your electronic signature is applied to the document. If you have concerns about a document you have already signed, please contact the sender directly.
There are no fees or penalties for declining to sign.
4. How to Sign
When you receive a signing request, you will be directed to a secure webpage where you can review the document and complete the required fields. You may sign by:
- Drawing your signature using a mouse, trackpad, or touchscreen
- Typing your name, which will be rendered in a signature font
- Completing other required fields (initials, dates, text fields, checkboxes)
Once all required fields are completed, click “Complete Signing” to apply your electronic signature to the document.
5. Technical Requirements
To access and sign documents electronically through Pactly e-Sign, you need:
- A device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) with internet access
- A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge, current or previous major version)
- The ability to access and view PDF documents
- A valid email address to receive signing requests
If your technical environment changes and you are unable to access electronic documents, you should contact the sender to request alternative arrangements.
6. Document Retention
After all parties have signed, a copy of the completed document will be sent to all signers via email. The sender retains the original signed document within their Pactly account.
We recommend that you download and save a copy of the signed document for your records.
7. Data Processing
When you sign a document through Pactly e-Sign, we collect and process certain personal data to facilitate the signing process and maintain an audit trail. This includes your name, email address, IP address, browser information, and the date and time of your signature.

8. Legal Framework
Electronic signatures executed through Pactly e-Sign are intended to comply with applicable electronic signature laws, including:
- The Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN Act) in the United States
- The Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) as adopted by individual US states
- The Electronic Transactions Act in Singapore
- The Electronic Commerce Act 2006 in Malaysia
- The Electronic Transactions Act 1999 in Australia
- Other applicable electronic transaction laws in the jurisdiction of the signing parties
The legal effect of your electronic signature is equivalent to that of a handwritten signature on a paper document, subject to the applicable laws of your jurisdiction.
