Sending Signature Reminders Manually

When signers haven’t completed their signature requests, you can manually trigger a reminder email to prompt action. This guide shows you how to send a reminder from the contract timeline.

Step 1 of 3
1
Open the contract with pending signatures

Open the contract that is Pending Signature. On the Timeline tab, find the Pactly e-Sign Signature Request entry. The Out for Signing row lists each signer and shows who is still Pending signature.

2
Click Send Reminders

Click Send Reminders on the Out for Signing row. Who is nudged depends on the signing order: for parallel signing, Pactly emails every signer who has not yet completed their signature; for sequential signing, it emails only the next signer in line, since later signers cannot act until the ones before them finish.

3
Confirm the reminders were sent

The button changes to Reminders Sent to confirm the emails went out. There is no separate confirmation prompt, so only click once. Each signer keeps their original signing link.

Step 1 of 3
  • Check timing: Wait a reasonable amount of time before sending reminders to avoid overwhelming recipients.
  • Who gets reminded depends on signing order: For parallel signing, Send Reminders nudges every pending signer at once. For sequential signing, it nudges only the next signer in line; later signers are reminded when their turn comes. Signers who have already signed are never emailed again.
  • Track status: Use the contract timeline to see who is still pending and who has completed their signature.
