Quick Start Guide (Web Application)
Welcome to Pactly! This guide will help you get started with the web application in just a few minutes. By the end, you’ll know how to navigate the interface, create your first contract, and understand the key features.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”Before you begin, you’ll need:
- An invitation to your company’s Pactly account
- A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
Step 1: Sign In
Section titled “Step 1: Sign In”- Go to app.pactly.com
- Enter your email address and password
- If your company uses Single Sign-On (SSO), click the SSO button instead
Step 2: Explore the Dashboard
Section titled “Step 2: Explore the Dashboard”After signing in, you’ll see your dashboard. Here’s what you’ll find:
Main Navigation (Left Sidebar)
Section titled “Main Navigation (Left Sidebar)”- Create - Start a new contract
- Repository - Access contracts, form entries, and contacts
- Knowledge - Manage playbooks, templates, and clauses
- Analytics - View reports and insights
- Settings - Configure your account and platform
Dashboard Content
Section titled “Dashboard Content”- Your recent contracts
- Tasks requiring your attention
- Quick access to common actions
Step 3: View Your Contracts
Section titled “Step 3: View Your Contracts”Click Contracts in the Repository section to see all contracts you have access to.
Contract List Features
Section titled “Contract List Features”- Search - Find contracts by name or content
- Filter - Narrow down by status, type, or date
- Views - Switch between saved views
- Sort - Order by date, name, or status
Step 4: Create Your First Contract
Section titled “Step 4: Create Your First Contract”There are two ways to create a contract:
Option A: From a Template
Section titled “Option A: From a Template”- Click the Create button
- Select From Template
- Choose a template from your library
- Fill in the required information
- Click Generate
Option B: Import an Existing Contract
Section titled “Option B: Import an Existing Contract”- Click the Create button
- Select Import Contract
- Upload your document (Word or PDF)
- Add metadata (contract type, parties, dates)
- Click Save
Step 5: Open a Contract
Section titled “Step 5: Open a Contract”Click on any contract to open it. You’ll see:
Contract Details
Section titled “Contract Details”- Basic information (name, type, status)
- Parties involved
- Key dates and values
- Custom properties
Timeline
Section titled “Timeline”The timeline shows everything that’s happened with this contract:
- When it was created
- Messages sent
- Approvals requested and received
- Signatures collected
- Notes added
Actions
Section titled “Actions”From the contract page, you can:
- Download the document
- Send for approval
- Request signature
- Add notes
- Send messages
Step 6: Request an Approval
Section titled “Step 6: Request an Approval”If your contract needs approval:
- Open the contract
- Click Request Approval
- Select the approver(s)
- Add a message (optional)
- Click Send Request
The approver will receive an email notification and can approve or reject from the platform.
