Quick Start Guide (Web Application)

Welcome to Pactly! This guide will help you get started with the web application in just a few minutes. By the end, you’ll know how to navigate the interface, create your first contract, and understand the key features.

Before you begin, you’ll need:

  • An invitation to your company’s Pactly account
  • A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
  1. Go to app.pactly.com
  2. Enter your email address and password
  3. If your company uses Single Sign-On (SSO), click the SSO button instead

After signing in, you’ll see your dashboard. Here’s what you’ll find:

  • Create - Start a new contract
  • Repository - Access contracts, form entries, and contacts
  • Knowledge - Manage playbooks, templates, and clauses
  • Analytics - View reports and insights
  • Settings - Configure your account and platform
  • Your recent contracts
  • Tasks requiring your attention
  • Quick access to common actions

Click Contracts in the Repository section to see all contracts you have access to.

  • Search - Find contracts by name or content
  • Filter - Narrow down by status, type, or date
  • Views - Switch between saved views
  • Sort - Order by date, name, or status

There are two ways to create a contract:

  1. Click the Create button
  2. Select From Template
  3. Choose a template from your library
  4. Fill in the required information
  5. Click Generate
  1. Click the Create button
  2. Select Import Contract
  3. Upload your document (Word or PDF)
  4. Add metadata (contract type, parties, dates)
  5. Click Save

Click on any contract to open it. You’ll see:

  • Basic information (name, type, status)
  • Parties involved
  • Key dates and values
  • Custom properties

The timeline shows everything that’s happened with this contract:

  • When it was created
  • Messages sent
  • Approvals requested and received
  • Signatures collected
  • Notes added

From the contract page, you can:

  • Download the document
  • Send for approval
  • Request signature
  • Add notes
  • Send messages

If your contract needs approval:

  1. Open the contract
  2. Click Request Approval
  3. Select the approver(s)
  4. Add a message (optional)
  5. Click Send Request

The approver will receive an email notification and can approve or reject from the platform.
